Departure in the morning to cross the Nile and visit the Necropolis of Thebes on its west bank, where you can admire the Valley of the Kings where 62 kings are buried in tombs excavated in the mountain. The funerary temple of Rameses III (20th Dynasty), known today as the Temple of Medinet Habu (the city of Habu), is a good example of New Kingdom architecture. He took as a model the funerary temple of Ramses II, the Rameseo, and enlarged it. It is the best preserved in the Thebes area and still maintains a lot of polychrome. After the visit, we will pass by the Colossi of Memnon and continue to the Luxor Temple, located in the center of the city of Luxor. The temple was built by Amenophis III and Ramses II in the 18th century BC, and was linked to the Temple of Karnak by the famous Avenue of the Sphinxes. One of the obelisks at the entrance to the temple was taken to the Place de Concorde in Paris. After visiting Luxor, we headed to the Karnak temple, the temple of Amun Ra (the sacred precinct of Thebes) which is full of obelisks, columns and gigantic statues.
