Day 1:

TUNISIA

Flight from your hometown to Tunis International Airport - Carthage. *

Arrival at the Tunis-Carthage international airport, assistance and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

Day 2:

TUNISIA - CARTHAGE - SIDI BOU SAID - HAMMAMET

Breakfast and departure to Carthage, one of the most brilliant civilizations of antiquity considered an integral part of universal culture. There you will visit the Antonine Baths, considered the third most important baths in the world after those of Caracalla and Diocletian. Continue to the Moorish town of Sidi Bou Said, famous for its narrow, steep and paved streets, its houses with white facades and nailed doors in the Moorish style. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon continue to La Medina of Tunis. Visit and departure to Hammamet. Arrival at the hotel, dinner and accommodation.

Day 3:

HAMMAMET - QAIROUAN - TOZEUR

Breakfast. Departure to Qairouán, the fourth holy city of Islam. Visit of the Oqba Ibn Nafaa Great Mosque founded in 671 (AD), the Barber Mausoleum and a tapestry workshop. Lunch at the Kasbah Hotel and continuation to Sbeitla, where the archaeological sites will be visited. After the visit, departure to Tozeur. Arrival at the hotel, dinner and accommodation.

Day 4:

TOZEUR - CHEVIKA - TAMERZA - CHOTT EL JERID - DOUZ

Breakfast. Departure on an excursion to discover the mountain oases of Chebika and Tamerza with the option of visiting (optionally) the magical site of Ong Jmel where the Star Wars film was shot. In Chebika, you will hike for 30 minutes between the palm grove and the waterfalls. Return to the hotel for lunch and departure to Douz, crossing the Chott El Djerid salt lake, an immense salt lake where, during the summer, you can observe the “Fata Morgana” effect, an optical phenomenon resulting from the inversion of temperature that distorts objects seen on the horizon. Arrival in Douz, called “the Gateway to the Desert”. Check-in at the hotel and free time. Possibility of taking an optional excursion to the sand dunes on camelback. Dinner and accommodation.


Optional activity in Tozeur: visit to Ong Jmel, the setting for the filming of the Star Wars film. Payment for this optional visit will be made directly at the destination.

Optional activity in Douz: excursion to the sand dunes on the back of a dromedary. Payment for this optional excursion will be made directly at the destination.

Day 5:

DOUZ - MATMATA - KSAR GHILENE

Breakfast. Departure to Matmata, a peculiar Berber village located at the northern end of the Dahar chain, unique for its soil and lunar landscape, offering one of the most unusual landscapes in Tunisia. The region is presented in the form of a succession of holes dug into the ground, giving the whole a lunar appearance, which justifies the choice of Matmata for filming the exteriors of "Star Wars". There, you will visit one of the troglodyte dwellings. Lunch and continue to the oasis and desert dunes of the great eastern Erg of Ksar Ghilane. An authentic Saharan oasis that will allow you to enjoy the most beautiful and genuine atmosphere of the desert. Dinner and accommodation in camp.

Day 6:

KSAR GHILANE - TATAOUINE - KSAR HDADA - SFAX

Breakfast. Departure for Cheneni-Tataouine, a shy Berber village, whose beauty lies within its caves dug into the mountainsides, with a beautiful minaret that dominates the entire hill. Continue to Ksar Hdada, a place that served as a granary for part of the Ghomrassen nomadic tribe and is very well preserved; it was also another scene of Star Wars in 1997. Lunch and continue to Sfax. Arrival at the hotel, dinner and accommodation.

Day 7:

SFAX - EL JEM - SOUSSE - HAMMAMET

Breakfast and departure to Jem to visit its Roman amphitheater, its architecture is impressive due to the type of material used for its construction, sandstone from the Mahdia area, a resistant stone that is easy to carve. The coliseum is ranked third in the world and was designed to serve as a setting for bloody spectacles pitting gladiators against wild beasts or those condemned to death. Lunch en route and continue to Sousse, where you visit its Ribat. After the visit, departure to Hammamet or Tunis (depending on availability). Arrival at the hotel, dinner and accommodation.
