In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour from Thamel to Durbar Square, the historic heart of the city. This is a great way to settle into the country and get a feel for the atmosphere. Visit some of its most famous attractions such as Kumari Bahal, a building richly decorated with beautiful wood carvings, and the home of the Royal Kumari, a girl known as the “living goddess.” We will also check out the Hanuman Dhoka, the former royal palace whose courtyard, Nassal Chowk, was the coronation site of the Shah kings and contains some of the finest wood carvings. The 14th-century Jagannath Mandir is the oldest temple in the area, its steps carved with inscriptions in several languages. Nearby, Taleju Mandir is one of the largest and best-preserved temples in the Kathmandu Valley and is dedicated to the patron deity of the former royal family, the wrathful Taleju Bhawani. In the evening, visit a local restaurant, where you can savor dal bhat, a rice and lentil dish that is Nepal's national dish, and also enjoy a program of live cultural performances. Day 3:

KATHMANDU - PATÁN - KATHMANDU

Breakfast after a spiritual start. In the morning, visit the Hindu temples of Pashupatinath and Bouddhanath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal. Located on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River, the vast Pashupatinath is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the holiest Hindu shrines in the world. Thousands of pilgrims flock to this temple each year to celebrate Shivaratri, Lord Shiva's birthday. The grand golden temple of Pashupatinath welcomes large crowds of worshippers and pilgrims each day. The main entrance is limited to Hindus only. See the beautiful Buddhist stupa Bouddhanath, which traces its origins to King Mana Dev in the 5th century. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this temple is one of the world's major centers of Tibetan Buddhism and is adorned with traditional prayer scrolls and Tibetan prayer flags. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit Durbar Square in Patan, a historic city a few kilometers south of central Kathmandu. This traditionally Buddhist stronghold, which represents approximately one-sixth of Nepal's population, is a true oriental treasure where Buddhism and Hinduism meet, creating a fascinating architectural landscape in the Newar style. Durbar Square is considered one of the finest cityscapes in the world, with the main attraction being the Palace of the Malla monarchs, who ruled Nepal for six centuries. We will tour this impressive complex, which features beautiful courtyards with ornate windows and arcades, columns, temples, and shrines, all known for their fantastic carvings. Continue to visit the Krishna Temple and the Mahavhar Rudra Varna Buddhist Monastery. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7:

POKHARA

Start your day at the top, in every sense of the word, to witness the sunrise from Sarangkot, a 1,600-meter-high mountain on the northern shore of Phewa Lake (this visit is subject to weather conditions). In the changing morning light, you'll watch the eight snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna Range bathed in a kaleidoscope of golden shadows—a truly breathtaking natural phenomenon. Tea or coffee will be served at a local café. We'll take a beautiful walk through the Schima-Catonopsis forest on the way to the viewpoint, from where you can also enjoy views of the lake and its tributary rivers. We return by trekking through the forest, which can now be appreciated in the splendor of natural light bursting through the branches. Breakfast. In the morning, you'll take a morning city tour of Pokhara and a boat ride on Phewa Lake to the Taal Barahi Temple, dedicated to the Hindu deity Durga and located on a small, tree-covered island about 200 meters from the waterfront. Visit one of the city's main attractions, the Bindhyabasini Temple, dedicated to the Goddess Bhagavathi. Lunch is served. In the afternoon, learn all about the peaks at the International Mountain Museum. It houses collections dedicated to Himalayan flora and fauna, as well as exhibits documenting mountain cultures and ways of life, the local environment, and the history of mountaineering. The museum also has a restaurant, gardens, and a climbing wall. Conclude your visit at the viewing platform, where you can admire the three 8,000-meter peaks of the Annapurna Range.
