In few places can you breathe the peace that exists in this famous desert of red and white sand, huge dunes, deep canyons and curious rock formations. It is considered the most beautiful desert in the world, where you can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world and a starry sky like few others. The wind and water have been the ones who forged this labyrinth of rocks and skyscrapers that rise from the ground up to 1,750 meters high. There are possibilities to tour and explore Wadi Rum for all tastes. You can rent 4×4 vehicles with a driver / guide and tour this impressive desert for a period of two to three hours. You can also rent a camel and a guide by setting the duration of the walk / tour or you can take hot air balloon rides to observe from above the magnificence of this desert also known as "Valley of the Moon". It has been the scene of major Hollywood productions such as Lawrence of Arabia, Rogue One (Star Wars) and The Martian. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2011.Within this great desert there are some places that stand out, such as:- Jabal stone bridge Burdah: It is the highest wind-carved rock arch in Wadi Rum, and one of the highest in the world, measuring about 35 meters high. An impressive place where you can enjoy incredible sunsets.- The Seven Pillars of Wisdom: An immense mass of sandstone that dominates the desert, one of the most of Wadi Rum.- Anfaishiyya Nabataean inscriptions: These are petroglyphs over 1,000 years old in perfect condition, which the Bedouins drew as they passed through the desert in order to identify roads, water points and hunting areas. There are more than 20,000 inscriptions scattered throughout the desert rocks, these being the most famous.- Great Red Dune: It is a 400-meter-high dune that is tiring to climb , but it is worth the effort for the impressive views that can be seen from its top. Going down it can be super fun.- Khazali Canyon: Located very close to the great red dune, it is a canyon about 100 meters long, one of the most impressive and beautiful in this desert. It is famous for housing several petroglyphs in perfect condition. Quite a photogenic site.
