Day 2: NEW YORK
In the morning, depart on a half-day tour of Upper and Lower Manhattan. This comprehensive Manhattan tour will take you to the heart of the Big Apple, immersing you in a spectacular cosmopolitan labyrinth of imposing skyscrapers. Walk through every corner of Manhattan, from its highest to its lowest streets, accompanied by our official guide and discover the grandeur of the city that never sleeps. An unforgettable experience that will immerse you in the vibrant essence of New York City. Our tour begins between 8:00 and 8:20 in the morning, depending on the location of your hotel, to ensure you make the most of your day. We will delve into Upper Manhattan, exploring the charming western part of Central Park until we reach the iconic Columbus Circle, home to the famous statue of Christopher Columbus. We'll continue to the Lincoln Center, home to the renowned New York City Ballet, the Metropolitan Opera, and the Philharmonic Orchestra. Here you'll admire the grandeur of the performing arts. Our first stop will be the iconic Dakota Building, known for its tragic connection to the death of John Lennon. At this point, we'll hop off the bus for a moment to walk to the nearby Strawberry Fields garden in Central Park, where you can photograph the Imagine plaque honoring this legendary musician. We'll then hop back on the bus to head to the picturesque Harlem neighborhood, where you'll appreciate the fascinating contrast between the old architecture and the emerging modernity. We'll descend Fifth Avenue, enjoying a panoramic view of the famous Museum Mile, where the highlights include the Neighborhood Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Frick Collection, and the Guggenheim. On this stretch of the tour, you'll pass by the majestic St. Patrick's Cathedral and the iconic Rockefeller Center, until we reach our third stop: Madison Square, where you can capture a wonderful view of the Flatiron Building and the Empire State Building on the horizon. We'll continue our tour to Lower Manhattan, exploring the charming neighborhoods of Greenwich Village, Soho, Chinatown, and Little Italy. You'll also have the opportunity to admire the majesty of City Hall, the Courthouse, and the Federal Reserve. On the way to our next stop, you'll be able to admire two architectural gems from the bus: Trinity Church and St. Paul's Chapel. The fourth stop takes us to Wall Street, the financial district and the iconic site of Ground Zero in New York City. This section is covered on foot, as it is the best way to appreciate the area's awe-inspiring beauty. You'll see the impressive Oculus subway station, a masterpiece by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, as well as the imposing One World Trade Center, one of the tallest skyscrapers in the world. Accompanied by our guide, we'll walk to the 911 Memorial, a moving tribute to the victims of the September 11 attacks. Next, we'll explore New York City's bustling financial district, where you'll find the iconic bronze sculpture of the Wall Street Bull and the courageous "Fearless Girl" challenging the New York Stock Exchange building. The tour ends in Battery Park, where you can enjoy a stunning view of the Statue of Liberty in the background. Here, you'll have the option to return to the bus to head back to 34th Street (the Business District) or stay at Ground Zero to continue exploring other points of interest on your own. Night transfers in and out of New York will have an additional charge per person per way. Consult in each case. Night transfers are considered those outside the following times:
- City of origin - New York: arrivals until 9:30 p.m.
- New York - City of origin: departures from 07:30 a.m.
-The prices published for children are valid for children under 18 years of age sharing a room with two adults. From the age of 18 they pay as an adult.
-Free time: during free time clients do not have transportation or a local guide.
-Possible change of route: our representative in the United States has the full right to modify the program for the benefit of the client or for reasons of force majeure without losing any of the scheduled visits.
-Possible changes in accommodation: if on any of the departures it is not possible to confirm the planned hotel, an alternative will be offered to the client within the same contracted category.
-Early arrival at the hotel on the first day of travel does not guarantee that rooms will be available. Standard check-in times apply unless additional nights of accommodation are purchased to ensure immediate access to rooms. Generally the rooms are available after 3:00 p.m.
-The triple and quadruple rooms generally only have 2 beds.
-Baggage: In the event of lost luggage by the airlines, it will be the passenger's responsibility to manage the claim and call the company directly to process delivery or compensation that may apply. Luxotour will not be responsible for any processing due to loss or breakage of suitcases.
-People with reduced mobility: some places, hotels and transport are not adapted for wheelchairs, Please consult it and notify it before making the reservation. Any additional expenses for assistance required throughout the tour will be borne by the client.
-Special foods: cases of food intolerances (allergies, celiac disease, vegetarian food, etc. .) must be communicated before arrival in the United States, although it is not possible to guarantee any type of special diet or menu.
-Consumer Withdrawal: the program is sold as a package closed, so there will be no refunds or discounts for services that clients decide not to enjoy or in which they cannot participate due to personal, medical reasons, flight schedules or other events.
- Behavior during the trip: in the event that a passenger's attitude endangers the operation of the tour and/or causes inconvenience to the rest of the group or the hotel, he or she will be forced to leave the program without any discount or refund for services that you cannot enjoy.
-Credit card: generally, hotels require the passenger to provide a credit card or a cash deposit such as guarantee to facilitate telephone call services, extras in bars and restaurants, minibar, laundry, room service charges, etc.
-Personal documentation and entry requirements in the United States: it is the client's responsibility to inform themselves about the current regulations regarding entry and exit of the country to which they are traveling, as well as to bring the personal documents required by the authorities. Luxotour does not assume any responsibility in this regard. Please note that visa, transit and entry regulations vary from one country to another and, in turn, may be modified at short notice and without prior notice.
The published price for children on ground services is valid for children up to age 14, sharing a room with two adults. There is a maximum of two children per room.
