Day 1:

AUCKLAND

Arrival at Auckland International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day free. Accommodation.

Day 2:

AUCKLAND

Breakfast at the hotel. The day begins with a visit to the West Coast, to Muriwai Regional Park, whose main feature is its black sand shoreline. This beach is very popular with surfers. The excursion continues with a visit to the Auckland Museum, with its interesting collection of Maori and Polynesian art and relics. We will then visit the Parnell district, one of Auckland's oldest neighborhoods, where we will take a stroll. We will then depart for Mission Bay and then head back toward the city center to visit the Auckland Viaduct. The tour will conclude with a visit to the Sky Tower, the 328-meter-high Auckland Tower. From there, you will admire a unique view of the city and its two bays: Waitemata and Manukau. Return to the hotel and the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 3:

AUCKLAND – WAITOMO – ROTORUA

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Waitomo to visit the famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves. We will begin the journey south of Auckland through the Bombay Hills, passing through the rich agricultural region of Waikato. Upon arrival at Waitomo, we will enjoy a guided tour that will take you through more than 250 meters of impressive underground landscapes. The highlight of your visit is a boat ride along the Waitomo River, where you'll see thousands of glowing worm lights that form the Glowworm Grotto. As you enter this galaxy of tiny living lights, you will experience a serene atmosphere and be fascinated and intrigued by the little glow worms that light your way. At the end of the visit, you will enjoy a traditional New Zealand-style barbecue at a local restaurant. After lunch we will continue towards Rotorua to reach the hotel. In the afternoon, we will visit Te Puia, Maori Thermal Reserve and Cultural Center with the New Zealand National Institute of Arts and Crafts, and where a prestigious wood carving school is located. In this reserve you will see various boiling silica and mud deposits, and you will take a tour of the geysers that are part of this reserve. You will then be welcomed in traditional style and watch a demonstration of Maori dances and songs. Later, they will enjoy a typical Maori cultural dinner. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

Day 4:

Rotorua – Christchurch

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit the Waimangu Thermal Reserve, a vast valley with abundant geothermal activity, where you can see the effects of the 1886 eruption of Mount Tarawera. Then, transfer to Rotorua Airport. Upon arrival in Christchurch, enjoy a short panoramic tour of the city. After the visit, transfer to your hotel and the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 5:

CHRISTCHURCH – LAKE TEKAPO

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will explore the surroundings of Christchurch and mid-morning, we will begin our journey to Lake Tekapo, a beautiful alpine lake with crystal-clear turquoise waters surrounded by mountains, where you will have the opportunity to visit the iconic Church of the Good Shepherd. In the afternoon, our Kiwi hosts will welcome you into their home where you will enjoy a delicious dinner and finally, you will have the opportunity to taste the famous New Zealand dessert, pavlova. Transfer to your hotel and overnight stay.

Day 6:

LAKE TEKAPO - TE ANAU

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, departure from Tekapo towards Te Anau. During the tour we will be able to see impressive views of Mount Cook, the highest peak in the country (3,750 m) and turquoise glacial lakes. We will continue our journey through the MacKenzie Country area. We will visit the “Bungy Bridge” (jump not included) where the well-known “Bungee Jumping” originated. Next, we will visit a vineyard in the Central Otago region where you will enjoy a tasting of locally produced wines and lunch. Afterwards, continue to your hotel in Te Anau. Accommodation.

Day 7:

TE ANAU - MILFORD SOUND – QUEENSTOWN

Breakfast and departure on an excursion to Milford Sound (*), traveling through the Fiords National Park. A boat ride will take us to the Tasman Sea, where you can appreciate the magnificence of this fjord, Mitre Peak, and Bowen Falls. Lunch is included during the crossing. After the cruise, continue by road to Queenstown, or if you prefer, you can choose to book local air transport (light aircraft or helicopter) over this park of high waterfalls, rainforest, coasts, rivers, and valleys until you reach the city (the additional cost of this optional service will be paid at destination along with the reservation, since the air transfer is subject to weather conditions). Arrival at the hotel and overnight stay.

(*) The Milford excursion is subject to weather conditions. In case of cancellation, if available, clients will be offered an excursion to Doubtful Sound at an additional supplement, which the client will have to pay directly at the destination. In the event that the Doubtful Sound tour is unavailable, we will book the Walter Peak tour in Queenstown.

Day 8:

QUEENSTOWN

Breakfast at the hotel. Today there will be a half-day panoramic tour of the Queenstown area, including a visit to the traditional mining town of Arrowtown. The tour will end back in the city of Queenstown, with a Skyline cable car ride to the top of Bob’s Peak for spectacular panoramic views of the region. Rest of the day free. Accommodation.
