Located on the Atlantic coast of southern Morocco, it was founded by the Portuguese around the year 1500. In 1960 an earthquake destroyed the city and it was rebuilt 2 kilometers south of the epicenter. Nowadays, it is a very modern city that makes us think that we are not in Morocco. Famous for its extensive beaches of more than 10 kilometers of fine, crescent-shaped sand. One of its main attractions is its more than 300 sunny days a year.
