The guide will inform you about the indigenous Sami people, their traditional culture and recent history. Later, we will continue our tour of the island passing by Lake Prestvatn, where the Meteorological Institute is located. We will cross the bridge to the Arctic Cathedral to visit this masterpiece by Norwegian architect Jan Inge Hovig, built in 1965 and which reflects the nature, culture and faith of northern Norway with a monumental stained glass window. Free afternoon. Accommodation.

After a guided tour of the museum, you will have free time to explore the small paths in the area, where in addition to seeing the cave paintings, you can admire at the same time the fantastic views of the Alta Fjord. After this excursion, return to the city center to visit the modern Cathedral of the Northern Lights. Rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation.
Breakfast and drive to the charming town of Levi. This approximately five-hour drive (about 340 km) will take us through the beautiful northern Lapland, where your eyes will be treated to stunning nature as you watch the landscape transform. En route, stops will be made to visit Finnmark's first silversmith shop (established in 1959) and the Juhls Silver Museum, which offers traditional and modern jewellery exclusively made on site. Breakfast at the hotel and drive to our next destination, Haparanda, offering a very scenic route, especially during the winter months when the landscape is covered in snow. As we travel east, we will pass through the forests and hills of Finnish Lapland, which are dotted with small towns and villages. As we approach the border between Finland and Sweden, we will cross the Muonio River, a natural border between the two countries. The river is quite wide and freezes over in winter, and we may see people ice fishing or skiing on it. Once we cross into Sweden, you will notice a change in the landscape, as the terrain becomes flatter and forests give way to open fields. Haparanda is located on the coast of the Gulf of Bothnia, so you may be able to catch a glimpse of the sea as we approach the city. Overall, the journey between Levi and Haparanda is a beautiful tour through the winter wonderland of Lapland, with plenty of opportunities to appreciate the natural beauty of the region. Arrival in Haparanda and free afternoon. Dinner and overnight.
Tonight we stay in one of Sweden's most famous turn-of-the-century hotels, restored to its former glory, with the authentic character of the number one establishment in town - red carpet, crystal chandeliers, stucco, etc. Haparanda, with Stadshotellet at its centre, has at some periods been the European town with the fastest pulse. The building was designed by architects Fritz Ullrich and Eduard Hallqvist from Stockholm. The hotel was built in a classical style, the master builder and carpenters came from Sundsvall, Sweden, the stucco workers came from Italy and much of the building material came from Silesia.
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to the city of Kemi for a full day of activities. The first visit will be Winter Park (*) with its special snow slides, there you can enjoy the snow sculptures and the SnowExperience365. Next we will have a Seaview buffet lunch. Afterwards, we will take a short trip to the port to board the impressive Sampo Icebreaker ship, where we will take a ride through the ice of the northern Gulf of Bothnia. The Lapland Sea is one of the few extraordinary places, completely freezing over in winter. You will enjoy an unforgettable adventure on the sea, snow and ice on a cruise through the frozen gulf, and let the magical moments in the Arctic nature surprise you. The crew gives a presentation of this historic ship and offers a guided tour of it, from the Captain's Bridge to the engine rooms. Feel the Arctic freedom on deck or relax in the warm interior with hot drinks at the Icebreaker Bar (drinks not included). Before returning to port, the ship will make a one-hour stop so that each visitor can take part in the ice floating activity, where you have the opportunity to jump into the sea and float, but only comfortably dressed in a survival suit. To be able to do this activity, a minimum height of 130 cm is required for safety reasons. The adventure continues as we head to Rovaniemi, located right on the Arctic Circle and capital of Finnish Lapland. Santa Claus's home has more than 60,000 inhabitants. Arrival at the hotel and rest of the afternoon at leisure. Accommodation.
(*) The visit to Winter Park depends on weather conditions and therefore it is not guaranteed that it will be open to the public for all departures.
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the next step in our winter adventure. Today we will visit the Husky dog farm. The barking of your new friends will welcome you into their home, and the head musher will tell us about the life and training of these Arctic animals. You will also have the opportunity to take beautiful photos with these loving dogs. After a short instruction, you will be able to drive your own husky sled (about 3-5 km). No words can describe the feelings evoked during this fairy-tale moment, but we can guarantee that it will remain etched in your memory forever. During the visit, you will also be able to send a letter to your loved ones with a greeting from Santa Claus. At the end of the visit, we return by bus to Rovaniemi and the rest of the afternoon is free. Accommodation.
