Day 1:

SAARISELKA

Flight from your hometown to Ivalo Airport. *

Arrive at Ivalo Airport and transfer by regular service to the hotel in Saariselka. Upon check-in at the hotel, ask for the welcome letter with information about the meeting time with your tour guide the next day. Rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation.At the northern end of Finnish Lapland lies the well-known village of Inari-Saariselka. National parks, lakes, rivers and hills offer a variety of alternatives and activities throughout the year. During the winter months, the possibility of the Northern Lights dancing across the Arctic sky can be enjoyed for 200 days a year. The legendary village of Saariselka is Finland's northernmost tourist destination and offers a wide variety of services. In Inari and other villages in the area, Sami culture is still very much evident in everyday life and is where the real Lapland is found.

Day 2:

SAARISELKA

After breakfast, get ready for a morning outdoor activity literally following in the footsteps of the Sami people. We start the day with a snowshoe safari, the guide will show you how to put on your snowshoes to ensure a safe walk through the endless white carpet of Lapland forests. You will feel the crunch of the snow under your snowshoes, capturing the true feeling of winter in the northern forests. As you explore the surrounding nature, you will discover the hills and Urho Kekkonen, the National Park surrounding Saariselka. Once back in town, the guide will give you information on where you can have a delicious Finnish soup. Free afternoon in which we recommend taking a sauna to relax your muscles after the activity. Day 3:

SAARISELKA / SANTA´S IGLOO

In the morning, after breakfast, the adventure continues towards the fantastic Santa’s Igloos located about 10 kilometres from Rovaniemi. During the journey, you will visit one of the highlights of the trip, the Reindeer Farm, where you will meet traditional Sami people who will tell you about reindeer and the importance of these animals in their culture. Your host will teach you how to pull Suopunki (the Sami lasso), later, on two-person sleds, you will enjoy a short experience pulled by your reindeer, you will experience this traditional and peaceful way of movement through the white landscape over the lake and through the forest, where the only sound you hear is the soft melody of the reindeer bells. In addition, a typical three-course lunch is served during your visit to the farm. Then, depart through the white forests to reach Santa’s Igloos, where we will stay in a glass igloo. Enjoy the warmth of your cabin with a transparent dome roof, from where you can admire, weather permitting, the impressive Northern Lights and millions of stars from your bed. Day 4:

SANTA`S IGLOOS / SANTA CLAUS VILLAGE / ROVANIEMI

In the morning, after breakfast, departure by bus to Rovaniemi, to check in at Santa's Hotel Santa Claus. Then, we'll begin our New Year's adventure with a visit to the Husky Farm. The barking of the dogs will welcome you. The head musher will tell us about the life and training of these Arctic animals, and you'll also have the opportunity to take beautiful photos of them. After a short briefing, you'll be able to drive your own husky sled. The day continues with a visit to the world-famous "Santa Claus Village", built right above the Arctic Circle. Visit Santa's house, where he will welcome you himself. No words can describe the feelings evoked during this fairy-tale moment, but we guarantee that it will remain etched in your memory forever. During the visit, you can also send a letter to your loved ones with a greeting from our big white-bearded friend. After the visit, return by bus to Rovaniemi and rest of the afternoon at leisure. You can choose to end the evening with the unique experience of a Finnish sauna (optional). Dinner and overnight.

ROVANIEMI

Enjoy a Scandinavian buffet breakfast and get ready to welcome the new year, taking the opportunity to explore the quaint little town at your own pace during your free day. In the evening, a gala dinner will be held at the Santa Claus Hotel to welcome the new year, including an aperitif and a drink of your choice between a glass of wine, a beer or a soft drink. After dinner, you will have the option to go to an unforgettable New Year's Eve party (not included), to celebrate this new year in a special place. Accommodation.

Day 6:

ROVANIEMI / KEMI / ROVANIEMI

Breakfast and departure to the city of Kemi, where a day full of activities awaits us. We are scheduled to start with a visit to the impressive Snow Castle (*) with its special slide (also made of snow), you will be able to enjoy the snow sculptures and the complex. Next, we will have lunch at the Seaview Restaurant (**) and then we will board the icebreaker Sampo. During the approximately three-hour navigation, the cruise will break the ice as it passes towards the north of the Gulf of Bothnia and will be one of the highlights of our winter adventure. This incredible experience includes a guided tour of the ship, where you will have the opportunity to see the engine room, the bridge. In the middle of the largest ice field in Europe, you will have the opportunity to dive into the sea and float, as you will be provided with a thermal suit suitable for this activity and those who dare to participate in this experience will also receive a certificate signed by the ship's authorities. An experience you will remember for the rest of your life. After sailing, return to Rovaniemi. Dinner and accommodation.
