Day 3:

CANCUN - BACALAR LAGOON - CHICANNÁ

Breakfast and transfer to the circuit departure terminal towards the Bacalar Lagoon, also known as the "Lagoon of Seven Colors" because its waters reflect various shades of turquoise, aquamarine and jade along its 50 kilometers. After the visit, lunch at a local restaurant and continue to Chicanná. Before arriving at the hotel, another stop will be made to visit the archaeological zone of Chicanná, whose name in Mayan means "house of the mouth of the serpent." This archaeological zone was discovered in 1967 and is characterized by its doors framed with animal-shaped masks. Of note among the buildings of this ancient Mayan city is Structure II, with its enormous zoomorphic mask believed to represent Itzamná, God of the Sun. After the visit, transfer to the hotel and rest of the afternoon free. Accommodation.

Day 4:

CHICANNÁ - CALAKMUL - PALENQUE

Breakfast and departure to Calakmul. After an hour's drive we will reach a detour that crosses the largest Biosphere Reserve in all of Mexico. The Calakmul Biosphere Reserve, the only true high jungle on the Yucatan Peninsula, where five of the six species of American wildcat live, as well as more than 230 species of birds and an innumerable variety of flora. On the way you will be able to observe a great variety of this vast flora and fauna. After an hour and a half on a narrow road, you will reach the archaeological zone of Calakmul, considered an important Mayan city located just 25 km from the border with Guatemala. In Calakmul, more than a hundred stelae are scattered around its surroundings, giving testimony to its dominance over the region. From the top of one of its structures, which is the largest monument in the place and, for some, the largest in volume in the entire Mayan area, you will be able to contemplate the "green sea" of the immense Mayan Biosphere. Once the visit is over, continue to Palenque. Picnic lunch can be enjoyed during the trip. Arrival at the hotel and rest of the afternoon free. Accommodation.

Day 5:

PALENQUE - CAMPECHE

Breakfast. In the morning, departure to the archaeological zone of Palenque located within the Chiapas jungle. The area offers in stone and stucco the beautiful realizations of the Mayan plastic and is considered one of the most beautiful areas of Mexico. Among all its temples, the most important is the so-called Temple of the Inscriptions, where the tomb of Pakal with his famous jade mask was discovered. After the visit, continue to Campeche, stopping en route for lunch at a local restaurant. Arrival at the hotel and accommodation.

Day 6:

CAMPECHE – UXMAL - MERIDA

Breakfast and departure to the archaeological zone of Uxmal. This area, whose name means "built in three stages", is a classic example of the classic and post-classic Maya era. The main buildings of Uxmal are: the Pyramid of the Fortune Teller, the Palace of the Governors and the Quadrangle of the Nuns. Lunch at a local restaurant and continue to Mérida, also known as "The White City", where its residences from the colonial era and French, Italian and Arab styles from the beginning of the century, testify to the past wealth born from the cultivation of sisal. Stop at the Zócalo de Mérida where you can admire the main monuments of the city: the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Municipal Palace and the Casa de Montejo. Accommodation.

MERIDA – CHICHEN-ITZA – CANCUN - MAYAN RIVIERA

Breakfast and departure to the archaeological zone of Chichén-Itzá, the Mayan capital of Yucatán that flourished between the 5th and 10th centuries A.D. During the visit you will see the impressive buildings of the northern and central archaeological zones: the temple of Kukulkan (Pyramid of the Feathered Serpent), the ball game, the observatory, the temple of the warriors, the convent of the nuns and the cenote. Lunch in a local restaurant and continue towards the Mexican Caribbean coast.
